He Ministry of Economy, through the Secretary of Energy, commissioned one of the most important works in energy matters: the 500 kV Extra High Voltage line Bahía Blanca – 500 kV Mar del Plata (Vivoratá) ET with 444 kilometers of Extra High Voltage line and the 500/132 kV Transformer Station (ET) in Vivoratá.

This work provides 900 MVA of transformation power to the system and included, for its operation, the construction of 185 km in Doble Terna towards the coast of Buenos Aires in 132 kV and the expansion in the 500 kV Bahía Blanca Station.

The work will directly benefit more than 1 million people, influencing the improvement of electrical service in the main towns on the Atlantic coast such as Villa Gesell, Mar del Plata, Necochea and Balcarce, destinations for the new 132 kV transmission already incorporated.

This work, together with the 500 kV Vivoratá – Plomer Lines (to be built) and Choele Choel – Puerto Madryn, completes the corridor that ensures the supply of demand in the area of ​​Greater Buenos Aires and the province of Buenos Aires.

Currently, there are 54 electrical transmission and distribution works underway that are being executed within the framework of the Federal Electric Transportation Plan.

Royon considered strategic this type of works that are being developed in the vast majority of the provinces and that, with funds from the national State, seek to improve the quality of the electrical energy that reaches homes, businesses, factories, institutions and all kinds of productive activities.

Chaco, Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz, Catamarca, La Rioja, Tucumán, Chubut, Misiones, Neuquén, Formosa and Río Negro are some of the provinces where electricity transmission and distribution works are already a reality.

Regarding this Plan, Flavia Royon expressed: “We generated a revolution in terms of the reactivation of electrical transmission works, since most of them were paralyzed during the previous government, they were reactivated and prioritized and, currently, a large part is already finished.”
