The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa and the owner of the ANSES, fernanda raverta announced a credit line for retirees of up to $400,000 at a rate of 29%. The way to access the loans is through a face-to-face shift at the agency’s headquarters that will open from Monday to Saturday.

Officials of the ruling party communicated it this afternoon through an act at the headquarters of the pension agency. “In this way, retirees from the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA) will be able to access loans of up to 400 thousand pesos and the holders of Non-Contributory Pensions (PNC), of up to 150 thousand pesos. In all services, the possibility of selecting the return in 24, 36 or 48 installments”, they pointed out from the national government.


The interest rate of the credits will be 29% per year (TNA), one of the lowest on the market. The credits must be managed in person at the offices of ANSES with prior shift from the day of the date.
During May of this year, 185,223 loans were granted with an investment of $16,281 million, of which 70% correspond to SIPA retirees and the remaining 30% to pensioners. From ANSES it was clarified that the measure entails a monthly investment of $50,000 million. Applicants will not be able to purchase foreign currency.
In the announcement, the Minister of Economy and brand-new candidate for the Union for the Homeland (UxP), said: “The economic sense of the measure is to take care of our internal market. The retiree does not make cash with liquidation, does not buy future dollars or shares are stamped. The retiree consumes and moves the internal market.
