In operations carried out in the provinces of Salta, Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires, agents specialized in agricultural activities detected various irregularities in the documentation.

The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) seized 224,870 kilos of grain valued at $15,930,000 in three operations carried out in the provinces of Salta, Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires, respectively, by different irregularities in your documentation.

Agents specialized in agricultural activities of the organization that directs Carlos Castagneto 160,000 kilos of grains valued at $12,000,000 were seized in Salta during an operation carried out on the road a few kilometers from the border with Bolivia. In total, 120,000 kilos of wheat, 30,000 kilos of soybeans and 10,000 kilos of corn were found.

The inspectors detected that the merchandise, which was transported in six trucks, was of dubious origin and was intended for individuals without economic and financial capacity to carry out these operations.

The control operation had the collaboration of the National Gendarmerie and was carried out on National Route 34, in the town of Aguaray, 30 kilometers from the border with Bolivia.

Between rivers

On the other hand, in a tax warehouse in the Entre Ríos town of Concepción del Uruguay, the AFIP seized 28,870 kilos of broken corn, valued at $2,200,000, after an alert made by the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) for a possible fraudulent export .

There, the agency’s staff detected that a company without economic and financial capacity intended to export almost 29,000 kilos of corn distributed in 22 special bags for grains.

Buenos Aires

Meanwhile, during a routine check on the loading of trucks carried out on National Route no. 5 at the height of the Buenos Aires town of Olivera, 36,000 kilos of corn were seized, valued at $1,730,000, which were circulating without their corresponding bill of lading.

These specialized actions in agricultural activities are intended to dismantle potential tax evasion maneuvers that harm legitimate producers who operate in compliance with all current regulations.
