Stockbrokers reacted relatively calmly to a profit warning from BASF. The course fell by one percent. After several recent profit warnings from the chemical sector, BASF’s lowered annual targets are “no longer a surprise at all,” said a trader.
Among the small caps, the shares of SMA Solar lost a good three percent. The US bank Jefferies has given up its buy recommendation for the shares and justified this with an expected weakening of the order situation. Knorr- Bremse lost three and a half percent. Here, Bank of America recommended selling.
The Südzucker Group expects a significant increase in consolidated earnings in the 2023/24 financial year. After initial price gains, however, the papers turned negative.
