Argentine shares advanced in line with the best session of the month for Wall Street indices.

The shares of Argentine companies listed on Wall Street climbed up to 4.2% yesterday, within the framework of the rise of the New York Stock Exchange after better-than-expected inflation data in the United States. For their part, bonds in dollars closed with the majority of losses after the profit-taking corresponding to the strong rise of the previous day.

This happens while waiting for news on the trip that government officials will make to the northern country to meet with authorities from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to review goals and advance disbursements.

In this context, the S&P Merval of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange advanced 2.1%, to 431,551.14 points, after improving 0.5% the day before. Thus, the largest increases were for Sociedad Comercial del Plata (5.8%), Pampa Energía (4%) and YPF (2.8%). Meanwhile, the main falls were for BYMA (0.4%) and Banco de Valores (0.2%).

The ADRs of Argentine companies listed on that market registered strong increases. The papers that led them were Pampa Energía (4.2%), YPF (3.6%) and Banco Macro (3.2%).
