Bad surprise for almost 2.5 million Nissan customers: their cars have to go to the workshop. What the Japanese manufacturer needs to improve on the Note, Kicks, Leaf and Co. models.
The Japanese carmaker Nissan is calling cars back to the workshops on a large scale. Almost 2.5 million vehicles in the US, Europe and Japan are affected, a spokeswoman said.
Affected models include Note, Kicks, Serena and Leaf. According to the information, there are several problems that need to be fixed: Among other things, cars suddenly accelerated after the cruise control was switched off or a short circuit caused the engine to stop while driving. The spokeswoman said no accidents related to the problems had been reported so far. In the last fiscal year 2022/23 (end of March), Nissan sold 3.3 million vehicles worldwide.
