There is no good news from the German automotive industry to the public. Their European production figures (January to May 2023) have fallen significantly compared to the pre-Covid year 2019, as the “Handelsblatt” reports. Mercedes: minus 31 percent. VW: minus 23 percent. BMW: minus ten percent. Audi: minus 8.4 percent. The proportion of their electric cars has increased significantly, but at a low level. The Stromer cannot compensate for the decline in the combustion engines.
