After testing online shops and drugstores in June, the Chamber of Labor criticized the fact that even formerly inexpensive products have been costing much more for a long time and that there are also strong price increases for branded products that are already more expensive.
Inexpensive apricot jam is almost 123 percent more expensive than in 2022. The Chamber of Labor saw an increase of around 300 percent in an inexpensive nail polish remover and a hair conditioner.
At the Müller online shop, for example, the cheapest drugstore goods were often not available, criticized AK consumer advocate Gabriele Zgubic. “Consumers can then only buy a significantly more expensive branded product.”
