The AFIP notified almost 500 companies that were not listed as employers

The firms, due to the areas in which they work, should be registered as employers, but they did not report having dependent workers.

The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) notified almost 500 companies that they did not declare employees in a dependency relationship to carry out its operations.

The body led by Carlos Castagneto detected a group of firms that, due to the areas in which they work, should be registered as employers and, nevertheless, They did not report having workers under their charge.

As a result of these detected irregularities, the AFIP initiated a series of actions so that audited taxpayers regularize, if applicable, the labor relations necessary for their activities.

They did not declare workers in a dependency relationship

The application of advanced technology and sophisticated centralized information crossings made it possible to find 480 firms that evidenced the need for workers to carry out the economic activity declared before the agency.

The communications sent suggest that these companies proceed to register as employers and register their workers from the corresponding period.

Companies that do not withhold personal contributions and avoid paying employer contributions may receive fines and sanctions with the corresponding interest, according to current regulations.

These breaches also have direct negative impacts on employees and the economy in general. In this sense, the AFIP continues its fight against the informal economy, to guarantee the rights of workers and compliance with obligations by taxpayers.
