To this end, it formed a candidate selection committee for the integration of these positions, which must evaluate the applicants, according to Resolution 607/2023, published this Thursday in the Official Gazette.
The Energy Secretariatía called for an open contest for the appointment of president, vice president and first member of the board of directors of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE), which has been operated for more than three years.
To this end, it formed a candidate selection committee for the integration of these positions, which must evaluate the applicants, according to the Resolution 607/2023, published this Thursday in the Official bulletin.
In addition, it established that once the deadline for receiving the background information of the applicants has expired, that Committee will have a period of up to 15 days to carry out the initial analysis of the applications received, having to prepare the final list of candidates to be interviewed.
After this procedure, the Committee will have a period of 30 days, counted from the expiration date of receipt of the applicants’ records, to carry out the interviews and submit to the Secretary of Energy a proposal of shortlists for each of the positions to be covered, having to issue an opinion regarding the background of each of the people who appeared.

The next step will be the approval, by the Ministry of Economyof the final proposal of candidates to integrate each of the contested positions, which will be submitted to the National Executive Power, in accordance with the Resolution.
For his part, he Federal Energy Council must present a shortlist for the positions of second member and third member of the ENRE board of directors, and thus complete the governing body of that entity.
In March 2020, through a decree, the Government ordered the intervention of the ENRE, which since August 2022 is headed by Walter Martello.
Now, Energía considered it appropriate to “proceed to issue the acts that are necessary in order to specify the integration of the ENRE board through the corresponding procedures for each of the positions.”
