UOM agreed to a 38% increase and a ,000 bonus

Metal workers will receive a 20% rise in July and two 9% rises in August and September. The extra payment will be for the Day of the Metallurgist.

The Metallurgical Workers Union (UOM) and the chambers of the sector reached an agreement on Monday in the parity that contemplates a 38% increase in salaries and a $60,000 bonus for Metalworker’s Day.

The understanding signed between the parties dictates that the scheduled increase will be 20% in July, 9% in August and 9% also in September.

In this way, the salary will have an increase of 42.6% between July and September, accumulating to the 18.8% of the previous quarter.

From October to December, meanwhile, an indicative increase was established, which will be corrected in arrears according to the CPI, of 7% each time.

On the other hand, the union that leads Abel Furlan agreed to pay a bonus $60,000 for the Day of the Metallurgical Worker that will be paid in advance in two tranches: 30,000 together with the salaries of August and September.

In addition, the union reported that during the quarter that goes from October to December equal increases will be applied to the inflation rates for each month.

“They will be received through a monthly advance of 7% that will be adjusted monthly to match the exact result of the inflation index”detailed from the UOM.
