The July inflation stood at 6.3% and thus the variation in prices of the first 7 months of the year it was 60.2%, while in the last 12 months it dropped to 113.4% (from 115.6%), as reported on Tuesday, August 15, by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC).
The divisions with the highest increase in the month were Communications (+12.2%), as a result of the rise in the prices of telephone and internet services; Recreation and Culture (+11.2%)mainly due to increases in tourist packages during the winter holidays.
They were also above the general index (6.3%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+9%), Health (+9%) and Restaurants and Hotels (7.5%).
Despite this, the division with the highest incidence in all regions was Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+5.8%).

Inflation in the division of Food and non-alcoholic beverages in it Greater Buenos Aires (GBA) it stood at 6%, while in the first seven months of the year it accumulated 64.5%, ranking above the national figure (60.2%) and in the interannual comparison a rise of 118.6% is observed.
In this context, the foods that increased the most in GBA were the dad (+34.1%), onion (+19.7%), sugar (+17.1%), firm yogurt (+16.7%), plain white rice (+12.4%), banana (+12.2%), milk powder (+12%), lettuce (+10.7%) and caramel sauce (+10.8%).
“On average meat, fruits and vegetables they increased between 3% and 6%, but with acceleration towards the end of the month”, indicated C&T Asesores, at the same time that they highlighted that “baked goods, dairy and sweets had significant rises, as in the month of June, as well as non-alcoholic beverages”.
