The South African businessman increased his fortune by 62% and Tesla shares are the most valuable component of his assets. Who was displaced from the first position in the ranking?
Elon Muskfounder and CEO of Tesla and owner of the social network Twitter, is, according to billionaire ranking Bloomberg, the richest man in the world and his net worth is US$222.3 billion.
It is a fortune which grew around 62%, to US$85.3 billion, so far last year and was mainly driven by the progress made by the Tesla stockwhich was 89%.
The automotive titles are the main component of the Musk fortune and are equivalent to US$96.100 million, followed by the options of the same company, which reach US$65.800 million and the SpaceX shares adds up to US$52.300 million. Meanwhile, those of Twitter add up to US$8.800 million.
With this rise in the Bloomberg ranking, Musk beat Bernard Jean Etienne Arnaulta French businessman who is the co-founder, chairman and CEO of LVMH, a company that sells luxury items.
