Ms. Pittel, there are numerous arguments that are repeatedly put forward against the expansion of renewable energies: too unsafe, too expensive, endanger the industrial location. And it is often said: spoil nature. What objections do you think are justified and what is nonsense?
That is a difficult question. Because what I accept as a legitimate objection and what not is, of course, something completely different from what people potentially feel on site. So I want to be careful there. But I’m always amazed that wind turbines are perceived as much uglier than houses, roads and other infrastructure.
