Rising prices thanks to strong signals, especially from the US technology exchange Nasdaq, shaped the picture on the German stock market on Tuesday. The Dax continued the stabilization from the previous day with significantly more momentum. In the early afternoon, the leading index rose by 1.2 percent to 15,786 points.

The previous evening in New York, technology prices in particular had picked up speed again and further gains are expected there when the stock market opens on Tuesday. In the meantime, there was no new bad news in China, and things went up on the stock exchanges in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The MDax of medium-sized titles recently gained 1.2 percent to 27,329 points. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, rose even more.
Tech stocks were in demand across Europe. In the Dax, SAP shares rose by 2.6 percent after Metzler Bank included the software developer’s shares in its rating of “buy”. With Infineon, another tech stock was at the top of the Dax with a plus of 3.2 percent. In the MDax, Teamviewer benefited from strong figures from the US video service provider Zoom Video with a plus of 2.8 percent. BASF shares rose 1.7 percent.
Among small caps, Nordex gained 5.4 percent, supported by a large order from Canada for 49 wind turbines. SFC Energy shares gained 3.8 percent. The fuel cell producer earned more than expected in the second quarter.
The last price paid for the euro on Tuesday was 1.0887 US dollars. The European Central Bank set the reference rate at $1.0908 on Monday. On the bond market, the current yield rose from 2.66 percent on Monday to 2.69 percent. The Rex pension index fell by 0.11 percent to 123.43 points. The Bund future rose by 0.29 percent to 131.08 points.
