The Government validated a 7.9% increase in the reference price of common flour 000 at the mill outlet, within the framework of the wheat trust that aims to limit the rise in prices baked products.
It did so through Resolution 1327/2023 of the Ministry of Commerce published today in the Official Gazette, within the framework of the Fund Argentine Wheat Stabilizer (FETA).
Therefore, the value of 000 flour went to $2,471 for 25-kilogram bags and $96,986.75 in the case of a ton, taking a wheat price of $52,109.91 a ton as a reference. This increase is added to the one that had already been granted in July by 6.91%.
The increases take into account as a reference the variations in the FAS price of wheat by 40%, that of wholesale inflation by 30% and that of wages in the other by 30%.
Since March it was decided to compensate the 000 flour bag, eliminating it for the common 0000.
Prices on all varieties are without taxes, at the exit of the mill and without delivery costs, and they must include the following logistics costs by region: City and Province of Buenos Aires, 3.50%; Center, Cuyo and Litoral, 5.50%; NEA and NOA, 7% and Patagonia, 10.5%.
According to the recitals, the adjustment is “consistent with the evolution of the rest of the components of the cost of products derived from wheat flour.”
Bread: how much will it cost in bakeries
In the first seven months of the year an accumulated increase of 55.2% was authorized for the fund and 90.1% if compared to the values of August 2022.
He price per kilo of bread has a floor of $750/$800 in areas farthest from the most populated urban centers and climbs up to $1,000 in the neighborhoods with the highest purchasing power.
