The measure had been announced over the weekend by the Minister of Economy and presidential candidate of the Union for the Fatherland (UP), Sergio Massa. Later, the Minister of Labor, Raquel “Kelly” Olmos, provided more details about it.
This Wednesday, at night, the measure became official through a Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) that bears the signature of President Alberto Fernández.

He himself establishes a “Non-remunerative allowance for workers who perform tasks in a dependency relationship in the private sector, regulated by Laws Nos. 20,744 (to 1976) and its amendments, 22,250, 26,727 and its amendments, and other special professional statutes.”
This amount, as reported, will amount to the sum of SIXTY THOUSAND PESOS ($60,000), which will be paid by the employers in TWO (2) installments of THIRTY THOUSAND PESOS ($30,000) with the salaries earned in the months of August and September 2023.
Raquel “Kelly” Olmos provided details on the bonus
Prior to the publication of the DNU, “Kelly” Olmos had explained that the $400,000 salaries are net and the additional ones are counted. If the additional leave the salary above $400,000, the bonus will not be collected. At the same time, she indicated that the bonus is individual and proportional to the workload.

“If a person wins $390,000, would be charged $10,000, is proportional to the top of $400,000 net including additional and the bonus”, commented the Minister of Labor.
