Earlier this Friday, at the Official bulletinthe launch of the scheme was made official, its new regulation, refund amounts and new dates. Likewise, the resolution clarifies that the credit coupons may be used in a wide range of activities and tourism items.
Pre-Travel 5: the fine print of the program
The Resolution 376/2023 modifies the program regulations to extend coverage to the low spring season, which extends from September 29 to October 17, 2023.
It also modifies the maximum withdrawal amounts, which are increased to $70,000 for the fall off-season and $100,000 for the spring off-season.
In addition, the resolution clarifies that the credit coupons may be used in a wide range of activities and tourist itemsincluding accommodation, travel agencies, transportation, excursions, resorts, property rentals, gastronomy, commercial activity, dance hallsregional products, other services and cinemas.
Credit coupons will be available for use from the date of provision of the tourist service and until October 31, 2023. They will be credited and used through a preloaded payment card or, if this is not possible, through the BNA+ electronic wallet.
In summary, the main modifications to the Pre-Travel program regulations are the following:
- Extension of coverage to the low spring season.
- Increase in maximum reimbursement amounts.
- Clarification on the range of activities and tourist items in which credit coupons can be used.
- Extension of the effective date of the credit coupons.
- Modification of the modality of delivery and use of credit coupons.
These modifications seek to further encourage tourism during the low season in Argentina, contributing to the reactivation of the sector.
