In the four previous editions, PreViaje benefited 7 million people throughout the country, generated more than 60 thousand jobs and had an economic impact of $658 billion pesos for the regional economies.

A few hours after the end of its fifth edition, more than 430 thousand tourists have already purchased their getaways to travel to destinations throughout the country through the Pre-Trip., generating an economic impact of $24.2 billion in the sector. Of these people, 105,700 are PAMI members.

“PreViaje once again demonstrates that it is a public policy that people embraced and that in each edition it is a success. We come from a June and July that were records in terms of hotel occupancy and, with this new edition, we hope that there will be no low season in this second half of the year,” said the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens, and stressed: “Hand in hand with domestic tourism, leveraged by PreViaje, and the strong growth of international tourism that has been setting numbers for 5 months. historically, tourism is the sector that has grown the most and that has generated the most jobs so far this year.

More than 10 thousand providers registered, providing an unprecedented and necessary formality in the sector. Of the total purchases made, 55.7% were in travel agencies, 29.8% in accommodation services, 10.6% in air transportation and 2.6% in ground transportation.

Bariloche and Puerto Iguazú compete head to head for the first place among the most chosen destinations, followed by Salta (which topped the ranking in the previous edition), Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Villa Carlos Paz and Merlo.

With this data in hand, “innovative, efficient and federal” are the three adjectives chosen by sources close to the organization led by Lammens to describe the main virtues of the program.

Until Thursday, September 7 inclusive, there is time to make purchases. On this occasion, the benefit is for trips between September 29 and October 17, 2023. The National Government will return 50% of expenses in credit to be used throughout the country’s tourism chain. The refund will be 70% for PAMI members.
