They project that the soybean harvest will grow 138% in 2024 after the historic drought

This was estimated by the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BdeC). In the previous season, soybean production had been 21 million tons, corn 34 million tons and wheat 12.2 million tons.

The Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange (BdeC) estimated this Thursday the soybean, corn and wheat harvests of the 2023/24 cycle of Argentina in 50 million, 55 million and 16.5 million tons, respectively.

The estimates are much higher than those of the 2022/23 cycle, which was affected by a historic drought. In fact, the growth of the 2024 soybean campaign reaches 138.1% annually, while the increase in that of corn reaches 61.8% annually.

For the BdeC, In the previous season, soybean production was 21 million tons, that of corn of 34 million tons and wheat of 12.2 million tons.
