With joint effort we can be more competitive

Next to Juan José BahilloSecretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Minister of Economy Sergio Massa made official the measure that aims to generate value added in the National Production and in the promotion of agroindustry at the federal level: the withholdings to all the regional economies whose exports are reached by processes of industrialization.

The presidential candidate of Union for the Homeland He specified that the measure is “fair and federal” and that it represents a sum of US$180 million who will remain in the sector agro-industrialwhich employs more than 1,200,000 people in 17 provinces.

“We have decided to bring withholdings to all regional economies to zero with value addedthat is, with an industrialization process on primary production, in such a way as to improve the competitiveness of all the regional economies Argentina,” he explained Massa.

In that sense, the Minister of Economy explained that the decision is justified because “the average value of a ton of export of the regional economies when industrializes is twice the value of the primary exports in Argentina, and that is very important to continue accumulating Bookings. Secondly, because we feel that the freight cost that many times pay the regional economies they do not have compensation mechanisms; and we believe that this is a way to add competitiveness to the regional economies“.

Subsequently, Sergio Massa He said “through joint efforts we can be more competitive, accumulate more reserves, which is the way for Argentine development. It is not with magic recipes, it is not with declamatory solutions, but by making our exports more competitive, defending the value of our employment and accumulating reserves as Argentina is going to move forward and that is the way.
