Meanwhile, if only the countries of the Eurozone and those of the European Union (EU) are taken, their GDP grew 2.2% and 2.1% respectively, standing at a level similar to the increases of 2 , 1% and 2% of the previous quarter.

The United Kingdom and Japan, in particular, still lag behind pre-pandemic activity, standing at 2.1% and 2.2% respectively from the levels of the fourth quarter of 2019.

Regarding the annualized data, the United Kingdom and the United States lead the pack of the G7 countries with increases of 6.6% and 4.9%, completes the statement from the Paris-based organization.
