He Ministry of Economy took debt from the Central Bank (BCRA) in exchange for the placement of a Treasury Bill and the expansion of other titles for a total of US$ 2,190,325,127.98, through two resolutions published today in the Official Gazette.

The first of them, 1331/2023, provided for the issuance of the National Treasury Bill Non-transferable in dollars and maturing on September 15, 2033, to be delivered to the BCRA, for US$2,165,869,311.

The interest rate that is paid for this Lete will be the same as that accrued by the international reserves of the Central for the same period, applied to the amount of capital placed.

In the other resolution, the joint 45/2023 of the secretariats of Finance and Treasurythe expansion of the issuance of the non-transferable national Treasury Bill in dollars maturing on January 16, 2033 was determined, for an original nominal amount of up to US$ 24,455,816.98.

In the resolution it was specified that the Letter placed to the BCRA will accrue interest, payable semiannually, depending on the interest rate that earn the international reserves of the Central Bank for the same period and up to a maximum of the SOFR Term rate (which sets based on assets of the United States Treasury) for one year, currently at 4.4% plus the adjustment margin of 0.71513% minus one percentage point, applied to the amount of capital actually subscribed.

On last January 13, Economy issued this Lete in dollars with a ten-year maturity that was placed at BCRA for US$7,132,655,012.39; On February 16, it was expanded by US$12,860,433.62 through joint resolution 6/2023; and on the 23rd of the same month he expanded it again by US$17,849,809.36 through the joint resolution 8/2023.

On July 26 there was a new extension for $51,234,243.28; On August 15, another for US$2,305,953,548.86 and on August 23, one more for US$17,480,979.35, which added to today’s, the financing from the Central through this Letter to the Treasury Palace increased to $9,562,489,843.84.
