Starting Monday, credits for workers for up to 0,000 will be available

The director of the National Social Security Administration (ANSES), Fernanda Raverta, announced yesterday the official launch of credits of up to $400,000 that, for the first time in its history, the organization will give to active workers who are contributors to the system. pension, within the framework of the Income Strengthening Program for Argentine families.

This is a key measure implemented by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, to alleviate the effects of devaluation and inflation and, as Raverta anticipated, they can be requested starting next Monday the 18th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The credits are intended for people who contribute to the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA) whose income does not exceed the current Income Tax floor (which is currently $700,875). As requirements, workers who want to access the credit must be in a dependency relationship, not be covered by Income Tax, reside permanently in the country and have no less than six continuous months of seniority under the same employer.

They may not exceed the retirement age by the date of completion of the loan payment, they must not be beneficiaries of a current ANSES line of credit, nor fall within the “situation 2” category in the debtor registry of the Central Bank (BCRA). ).

To access the loans, you must have a credit card and workers can process them through the ANSES website (www.anses.gob.ar, or from the agency’s application).

Once they have the code that will be provided to them after making the request, they must go to an office of the organization without an appointment to validate the procedure and avoid scam situations. In that sense, it was recalled that ANSES will not communicate to offer loans or request personal data. The loan money will be deposited on the bank credit card where your salary is collected.

As detailed by Raverta, the loans may be in 24, 36 or 48 installments, an Annual Nominal Rate (TNA) of 50% is applied (compared to 100% of traditional credits) and will only be used to pay for consumption with the card, since It cannot be used to buy dollars, or extract or make fixed terms.

As established by Decree 463/2023, published last week in the Official Gazette, which establishes the conditions of the line implemented by ANSES, a grace period of up to three months is foreseen and once that period ends it can be returned in 24, 36 or 48 installments.

For the new line of loans, the Government will allocate $450,000 million, and the amount may be increased if the Executive determines so.

As provided in the initial version of the line of credit, the maximum amount to be granted will be $400,000, although, in all cases, the fee-income ratio of the credit granted may not exceed 20% of the monthly salary of the person. take the loan.

Although the decree does not establish a specific purpose for the credit, the Government seeks to use it for consumption. Thus, the suggestion of the director of ANSES is that, for example, it be used “to buy an appliance, consume some good, a refrigerator, a washing machine.” And consequently, as it is consumption-oriented money, you will not be able to buy dollars, withdraw from the card or make fixed installments.
