The production of Petroleum crude oil recorded a year-on-year increase in 6.4% last July when it reached 3 million cubic meters and recorded the best January-July period since 2007, according to the Production Studies Centerwhich depends on the Secretary of Industry.
The accumulated between January and July (21.3 million cubic meters) was the best since 2007with an increase of 10.3% over the same period in 2022.
They specified that in the seasonally adjusted measurement, crude oil production contracted -3.2% month-on-month compared to last June.
While the production of gas, which was in July 4,282 million cubic meterss, was ranked as the second most important accumulated since 2009, with an expansion of 0.1% compared to the January-July period of last year.
Likewise, in the interannual comparison there was a contraction of 1.5% and in the seasonally adjusted measurement it fell 0.9% in relation to last June.
Regarding oil, “Conventional production fell 3.9% year-on-year compared to July 2022,” and still represents 52.3% of total oil production, the report indicated.
While “shale oil production grew 21% year-on-year and recorded the highest production for the month of July since the beginning of the series (2009)” and represented “46.7% of the total.”
“The tight resource grew 5.2% in July compared to a year ago, and recorded its second consecutive year-on-year increase. It represented 1% of total oil production,” as reported.
