Edenor and Edesur had to provide bonuses to users who claimed during May, June, July and August. How are claims made and in what cases?
The auditor of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE)Walter Martello, highlighted that during the second quarter of the year 90% of claims for repeated outages were resolved favorably and prolonged that users of the electrical service in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) presented to the organization.

For this reason, the distributors Edenor and Edesur had to provide bonuses to users that they claimed during May, June, July and August for $141 million, the ENRE reported in a statement.


“From the Regulatory Entity we apply all the tools contemplated in the regulatory framework so that those who have been affected by cuts obtain economic compensation,” said Martello.

The Prolonged supply outages are those in which the impact on the service lasts 15 hours or more.while repeated outages constitute four or more interruptions of the electricity supply in the same calendar month.
The claim for prolonged or repeated outages is generated through a web form located at https://www.argentina.gob.ar/enre/reclamo-cortesprolongados-reiterados-edenor-edesur.
There you must enter the user’s data, claim numbers for each supply outage, and the date and time they occurred.
After verifying the information, the concessionaire company must make a refund on the invoice equivalent to 2,000 kilowatts equivalent to $45,000.
