The beautiful weather spoiling the game? Not at all! Despite bright sunshine and warm late summer temperatures, hundreds of visitors did not miss the first of two days at the OÖN Digital Days in Linz. Digitalization experts spoke on three stages and gave insights into the world of artificial intelligence, the digital transformation of companies and Austria’s opportunities as a digital location.

The OÖN Forum in the Promenade Galleries in Linz was already full to capacity when it opened in the morning. OÖN editor-in-chief Susanne Dickstein and OÖN advertising manager Bernd Kirisits spoke about the digital transformation of the daily newspaper. The sixth edition shows that the Digital Days have already become an institution, both emphasized. “For us as a medium, digitalization means that we try to see the big picture and use the entire keyboard: print, online, TV and social media channels. And I think we’re doing that well,” said Dickstein. Kirisits recalled the beginnings in 2018 and how much the event has grown since then: “Top speakers come to us in Linz year after year, we have established a great event.”

It wasn’t just speakers like Kosima Kovar, who founded the start-up AdaGrowth, which helps women in their professional lives. Theresa Imre, founder and managing director of the food platform Markta, and the representatives of the five local industrial companies KTM, Primetals, Engel, Umdasch and K-Businesscom, who discussed the consequences of digitalization in the industry on stage and even in the audience, were also impressed advertised for job candidates.

Maja Müller and Stefanie Endlinger from the online marketing agency “get on top” confirmed that the Digital Days hit a nerve with visitors: “The company we work for works in the customer service area, so all the lectures are across the board Bank is interesting for us. You can’t miss it, it’s also worth traveling from Salzburg.”

Already there for the third time

Laura Enzenhofer from Linz, who works in the digital sector at the XXXLutz Group, came to the event for the third time. “You see a lot of well-known people and the speakers are very exciting. The current digitalization topics are discussed and it’s great to get input here.” Meanwhile, Angelika Wagner and Claudia Hochreiter from the online marketing department of the Schwertberg injection molding machine manufacturer Engel had their premiere: “We’re here for the first time after our colleagues raved about the last Digital Days. We’re using the day to get ready for the It’s also a good opportunity to bring the latest developments and network.”

Networking is also the focus today, Wednesday, in the evening. Then the after-show party takes place in the Linzer Tabakfabrik – including the broadcast of a live podcast.
