According to information from KSV1870 and AKV on Thursday, Redl Elektroanlagen GmbH from Hollabrunn/Lower Austria applied for bankruptcy proceedings at the Korneuburg regional court. This affects 39 employees and around 70 creditors. Assets of 1.3 million euros are said to be offset by liabilities of 6.2 million euros.

According to KSV, the company primarily provides installation and maintenance services for electrical, alarm and photovoltaic systems as well as multimedia technology and building control. Wages and salaries should be paid by the end of August.

According to the debtor, the causes of insolvency lie in particular in the sharp changes in purchase prices and personnel costs, reported the KSV. “Similarly, the line capacities in the company were tied up too intensively due to supply chain problems and technical and regulatory developments in the area of photovoltaic systems, so that necessary price increases were not implemented or recognized in a timely manner.” According to AKV, the management is said to have already held negotiations to sell the company, but these could not be completed due to the bankruptcy filing.
