In order to get an idea of what’s going on behind the gates of Elon Musk’s Tesla factory in Grünheide, this is what you’re looking for starInvestigative team invited two journalists to the factory. Kim and Valeria receive training and advice and go undercover to the Gigafactory under their middle names Eli and Lucy.
There they experience a hard and chaotic everyday working life on the first few days – the two of them have to “knock out parts” as quickly as possible. Eli worries about her safety while Lucy struggles with the pressure of her shift supervisor’s expectations.
They meet at the same time star-Investigative reporters Manka Heise and Christian Esser with a Tesla employee who is willing to talk anonymously about his workplace. He speaks of a “disaster factory” and health-threatening conditions. With every new piece of evidence, the suspicion that Tesla is not a safe place to work increases.
