Argentina-India: agreement of understanding

Technical teams will explore opportunities for cooperation in order to consolidate the . bilateral relationship.

A delegation of 17 Indian companies arrived in the country yesterday with the aim of seeking new business, within the framework of a trade mission organized by the Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics and Dyes Export Promotion Council.

Within this framework, Chemexcil and the Argentine Chamber of Chemical Products signed a Memorandum of Understanding from which they will explore opportunities for cooperation and promotion.

During the meeting, Raghuveer Kini, general director of Chemexcil, highlighted that Indian companies are here to build long-term relationships with Argentina and assured that “we took another step in strengthening the commercial relationship and we know that opportunities will open up.”

Regarding the signed agreement, the representative of the local Chamber, Diego Taube, considered that “there are excellent opportunities” to explore and in the long term India will become an “even more important” strategic partner for our country. The business round was held at the Sheraton Hotel and included the participation of the Indian ambassador to Argentina, Dinesh Bhatia, who recalled that it is the third time that a Chemexcil delegation has visited the country since 2016 and stressed that bilateral trade between both countries “is very strong and there are many opportunities in this particular sector”, with Argentina being one of the strongest countries.
