This Wednesday the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported that economic activity grew again in September, registering a monthly rise of 1.2%, to exceed the precovid level for the third consecutive month.
In year-on-year terms, the Monthly Estimator of Economic Activity (EMAE) showed an increase of 11.6% and marked the seventh consecutive rise in double digits.
While if it is compared against September 2019, it also grows 4.7%, remarked the Indec.
With these numbers, the EMAE thus closes the third quarter of 2021 with a quarterly growth of 4.2% without seasonality and 12% year-on-year.
And accumulates in the first nine months of the year a growth of 10.9% year-on-year.
Likewise, during that month 13 of the 15 sectors that make up the indicator grew year-on-year, with double-digit increases in 7 of them.
Among the largest increases were Other service activities (+ 66.9% year-on-year; contribution 0.9 percentage point -pp-), Hotels and restaurants (+ 59.1% year-on-year; contribution 0.4 pp) and Construction (+ 27.1% year-on-year; contribution 0.8 pp).
