The Federation of Oil Producers – which includes cotton ginners – reached a salary agreement for the sector that raises the initial salary above $360,000 for the lowest category and more than $420,000 for the highest, plus a bond of $73,600, in two installments.


This extraordinary non-remunerative allowance of 73,600 pesos will be paid in two equal and consecutive installmentsand will be settled in the first and second half of October 2023.

Oil producers: how the increases will be made
The understanding contemplates increases in September, October and November and raises the initial salary of a worker with a normal day (200 hours per month) of the lower category – 1st or laborer – between basic and additional salary to $ 67,000 as of September 1 November 2023, and in the specialized category at $424,052.
Likewise, the agreement contemplates a review in December 2023. The Federation of Oilers and Ginners highlighted that this new agreement “was achieved thanks to the unity of the fellow ginners.”
