39 additional train connections and around 17,000 additional seats are available to travelers, the company announced on Monday. More travelers are expected, particularly on National Day and All Saints Day. At the same time, passengers have to be prepared for restrictions and rail replacement services, especially on the western route, due to construction work on the Arlberg railway line and at the Deutsches Eck.

The ÖBB recommends that its passengers reserve a seat on the busiest travel days. And pay attention to changes in the timetable.

The ÖBB has also announced an expansion of connections to ski areas for the winter timetable. In collaboration with the Austrian Cable Car Association and Tirol Werbe, four additional destinations will be bookable via ÖBB in 2023/24 with simultaneous booking of the ski pass and transfer from the train station to the accommodation.
