Stock exchange in Frankfurt: Dax recovered somewhat – sell-off at Siemens Energy stopped

After an eventful stock market week with a significant setback the day before, the DAX attempted to recover on Friday. Around midday, the leading German index rose by 0.4 percent to 14,789 points. The day before, the collapse in the price of Siemens Energy shares and the associated losses in Siemens shares had unsettled investors and put pressure on prices on the German stock market.

The evening before, the quarterly reports from the online retailer Amazon and the chip company Intel in the USA sent encouraging signals. Both stocks then rose sharply after trading.

The MDax of medium-sized stock exchange companies rose by 0.2 percent to 23,850 points on Friday. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 stood still.
