Increased demand for business aircraft also boosted Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier in the third quarter. Sales jumped by 28 percent to $1.86 billion (1.8 billion euros) and adjusted operating profit (Ebitda) rose by 36 percent to $285 million, the company announced on Thursday. Earnings per share reached 73 (previous year: minus 10) cents, exceeding estimates of 46 cents.
Demand for business jets has remained strong since the industry boomed during the pandemic. Back then, wealthy people ordered private planes to avoid getting infected in the crowd.
