It is worth remembering that these new days of super offers will be key since some will take the opportunity to anticipate their end-of-year purchases, while others will make the purchases they already had planned, only at a more affordable price.

According to a recent study carried out by Google, the purchasing planning and financing are aspects that were intensified in the face of this Cyber ​​Monday.

According to a Google survey, carried out in August 2023, 45% of people with purchase intentions on the next CyberMonday will take advantage of the event to buy presents in the end of year season. This gives an indication that a large part of the purchases will be planned and, among these buyers, there are those who focus on looking for the best deals (38%) and those who investigate and they make shopping lists beforehand (33%).

Regarding the main purchase motivators for all product categories, there are the interest-free installments (40%) and the free shipping or returns (38%).

In this context, the payment methods favorites of Argentines for this discount season are the credit cards (31%) and digital wallets (21%), highlighting the importance of financing when purchasing.

Cyber ​​Monday: which are the most relevant categories

For this event, the category that gains the greatest relevance in purchasing interest is technology, since 45% of people who plan to buy on CyberMonday declare that they will buy an electronic item or appliance.

When analyzing purchase intention in some of the categories, there are different priority products:

Technology

Cell phones (24%) and televisions (21%) are the items with the highest purchase intention, along with computers and accessories (20%), gaming items (14%) and wearables (13%)

Trips

Packages (25%) and accommodations (20%) are among the services that most people will seek to purchase in the category, followed by flights or bus or train tickets (18%), activities or tours (17%) and travel insurance (10%).

Beauty and personal care

Perfumes (23%) and facial care products (23%) stand out. Followed by personal hygiene products (22%), makeup (19%), hair care (18%) and baby products (9%).
