construction fell a 4.5% in September, compared to same month of the previous year. This was indicated by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) in the report released this Tuesday.
In September of 2023, the index of the seasonally adjusted series shows a negative variation of 0.1% With respect to month former and the trend-cycle series index register a positive variation of 0.1% With respect to last month.
Furthermore, with the published data, it was learned that the accumulated for the nine months of 2023 of the original serial index presents a down 2.9% about same period of 2022.
Construction jobs: how they evolved
As a complement to the ISAC data, information is published on the registered jobs in the activity of the construction in it private sector. The information refers to jobs on which contributions are made to the pension system.
In August of 2023 this indicator registered a rise of 10.2% with Respect to the same month of previously year. In the accumulated January-August 2023this indicator presented a rise of 12.1% with respect to same period of the previous year.
Construction data: which were the most in-demand inputs
The data on the apparent consumption of construction supplies in September of 2023 show, in relation to the same month of the previous year, increases of 3.3% in paintings for construction; 1.6% in asphalt; and 1.3% in the rest of the supplies (includes faucets, seamless steel tubes and construction glass).
Meanwhile, they are displayed low of 13.0% in plasterboard; 10.0% in ceramic floors and coverings; 9.5% in sanitary items of ceramics; 9.5% in round iron and steels For the construction; 9.0% in and so; 7.8% in portland cement; 6.5% in limes; 5.3% in manufactured concrete; and 3.8% in hollow bricks.
