The Dax extended its previous day’s gains on Tuesday ahead of inflation data from the USA. Around midday, the leading German index rose by 0.58 percent to 15,434.73 points. The MDax of medium-sized companies gained 0.96 percent to 25,653.58 points on Tuesday. The Eurozone index EuroStoxx 50 rose by 0.4 percent.

Inflation data will be presented in the USA in the afternoon. Investors expect this to provide new assessments of the future monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve, which will hold its last regular interest rate meeting this year in December.
