Compared to the previous month, there is a price increase of 0.3 percent. The annual rate (HICP), calculated according to the harmonized European method, was 4.9 percent in October.

“This mainly has to do with the fact that fuel is significantly cheaper than last year,” explained Thomas. “In addition, price increases have moderated, particularly for food and furniture.”
