Stock exchange in Frankfurt: DAX hovers around 16,000 points

The Dax fluctuated around the 16,000 point mark on Monday. In the afternoon, the German leading index was 0.13 percent lower at 16,009 points. On Friday, the Dax closed above 16,000 points for the first time since August as the highlight of a four-week rally. The MDax was almost unchanged at 26,192 points on Monday afternoon.

The euro rose slightly, trading at $1.0951 in the early afternoon. The European Central Bank set the reference rate on Friday at $1.0916.

As on Friday, the current yield on the bond market was 2.66 percent. The Rex bond index rose by 0.02 percent to 123.89 points. The Bund future gained 0.48 percent to 131.00 points.
