775,000 cars with an increased risk of accidents? That’s a pretty high number. According to Ford, vehicles in the USA are primarily affected, but the company is also having many SUVs recalled in Europe.
The second largest US automaker Ford is recalling almost 775,000 Explorer-type SUVs worldwide due to increased risk of accidents.
The company warned on Friday of defects in the axle and suspension that could lead to significantly reduced tax control. Ford has so far known six reports of injuries in connection with the defect in North America.
Owners could recognize the problem with their vehicles, according to the message, by knocking noises and misaligned rear wheels. The recall covers the model years 2013 to 2017 and, with a good 676,000 cars, mainly affects the US market. In Europe, Ford put the number of problematic vehicles at just 13,162. The necessary repairs are to begin in August.
