Personal stagnation is out of the question for Michael Thor: Has been working in the field of lightweight construction and composite materials for ten years, currently for Composites United, lifelong learning and further development are a matter of course for him. The same applies to Carmen Hinterobermaier: She wants her leadership and Strengthen management skills in order to be even better prepared for future tasks.
The two of them recently had one thing in common: They were the winners of two scholarships for a part-time international MBA course. These were awarded by the OÖNachrichten in cooperation with the IBSA International Business School Austria.
Both winners are looking forward to the start in March 2022. A special treat at the end of your studies: You graduate after a 14-day study trip to the USA at the CLU University in California. Despite the pandemic, the current round is running smoothly.
Internationally active
Michael Thor is happy about the full scholarship of 30,000 euros. He studied mechanical engineering at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences, has been abroad several times and recently completed a doctorate at the University of Augsburg. Now he also wants to advance his career in industry.
The partial scholarship goes to Carmen Hinterobermaier: She studied “Medical Informatics” and later graduated from the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions while working. Today she heads the project management service area at the Ordensklinikum Linz. In this management position, she is responsible for the implementation of complex strategic projects.
