Among the 300 measures that it presented, included in the DNU, it is authorized “the transfer of the total or partial share package of Aerolíneas Argentinas.” In addition, the “implementation of the open skies policy” is advocated.
It also establishes that “the transfer of the new rights will be prorated among the employees who decide to participate in said expansion program.”
“Employees who participate in more than one of these companies must opt to participate in one of them,” specifies the DNU.
What does Milei’s DNU say?
Under the title “Rescue of Argentine Airlines and Austral Airlines by the National State” (Law No. 26,412) ARTICLE 246 establishes that Article 4 of Law No. 26,412 and its amending and complementary regulations be replaced.
“ARTICLE 4.- The transfer, partial or total, of the share package of Aerolíneas Argentinas SA and Austral Líneas Aéreas – Cielos del Sur SA and their controlled companies is authorized, to the employees of the respective companies in accordance with the Participated Ownership Program “.

Aerolíneas Argentinas is not the only State company impacted by the deregulation of the economy announced by Javier Milei. Among the most important announcements is the repeal of the state companies regime and the regulations that prevent privatization of public companies.
