The UIA received the Secretary of Labor, Omar Yasin

They analyzed the recent labor measures of the DNU sanctioned by President Javier Milei. Many of them contained in the White Paper that the entity presented to the candidates during the electoral campaign.

The president of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), Daniel Funes from Rioja, received the Secretary of Labor, Omar Yasin and equipment, to learn about the recent labor measures contained in the DNU sanctioned by President Javier Milei.

In an official statement the entity indicates “that, a priori, the measures seem to tend to adapt different aspects of the new labor realities to generate quality, formalized and socially protected employment, with a horizon of predictability for companies, particularly SMEs.”

The UIA had presented its White Paper proposals to all presidential candidates during the election campaign.

Among them are: reducing litigation that mainly affects SMEs, eliminating fines for poor registration of work activity and creating incentives for formal employment; the promotion of new employment through the reduction of workloads; promoting dynamic collective bargaining and productivity incentives; among other policies that affect the sustainability of companies and the creation of jobs.

A new path to understand the new work realities

In the statement the UIA indicated that “The modifications implemented show a path to understanding the new labor realities and lay the foundations so that when an economic recovery materializes, new hires are simpler and more sustainable.”

The UIA considered “that the included modifications promote the creation of formal employment, and that they guarantee the provision of essential services, while expressly sanctioning blockades of companies.”

The UIA will continue analyzing the implications of the decree

Lastly, they pointed out that “The technical departments of the UIA will continue to analyze in the coming days the implications of the decree in other aspects, beyond labor matters, and will communicate their conclusions.”

Although they consider that “the new regulations provide predictability and sustainability to production processes and improve the conditions of employability and respect for private initiative.”

The meeting took place at the UIA headquarters together with the team of the Secretary of Labor and authorities from the Department of Social Policy of the institution.
