Who is Fabián Lombardo, new president of Aerolíneas Argentinas?
Fabián Lombardo has extensive experience in the airline industry. He began his professional career at Varig, where he held multiple executive positions, being in charge of pricing management; the direction of revenue management and routes for South America; and the addresses for Italy and the Middle East, Germany and Eastern Europe and Chile, among others. In all these cases, he performed his functions based on the aforementioned countries.
In 2009 and after serving as foreign sales director at Gol Linhas Aereas, he joined our Company as international sales manager, moving on to occupy the role of commercial area manager since 2013.
He was also representative for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay of Tap Air Portugal and Azul Linhas Aereas; reaching the position of general manager for South America in the latter.
As of 2019, he led the current Commercial Directorate, Planning and Management of Airline Routes.
