After the first step dictated by decree last week, the megabill sent yesterday by Javier Milei to Congress seeks to alienate the State from the ownership of its main economic resources and transfer them to the private sector. Specifically, the initiative includes a list of 41 state companies “subject to privatization.”

The list includes Aerolíneas Argentinas, AySA, YPF, Banco Nación and Ferrocarriles Argentinos. Emblematic companies such as Correo Argentino, Fabricaciones Militares, the Port Administration, the Télam news agency and State Radio and Television (Public TV and National Radio) also appear.
Some of the companies that are part of the list, such as Aerolíneas and AySA, already constitute public limited companies, which will facilitate their privatization process. Others are state companies, which the DNU published last week already proposed converting into SA.
The annex where the companies subject to privatization are located begins with the General Administration of Ports and continues with Aerolíneas, the Argentine Satellite Solutions Company, AySA, the BNA and its associated firms, the BICE, Casa de la Moneda, Public Contents, Road Corridors and the Mail.
Also part of the list are Construction of Housing for the Argentine Navy, Dioxitex, Educ.ar, EANA, Energía Argentina, Fábrica Argentina de Aviones “Brig. San Martín”, Military Manufacturing, Argentine Railways, Agricultural Technological Innovations, Intercargo, Nación Bursátil, Pellegrini, Nación Reinsurance, Nación Retirement Insurance, Nación Servicios, Nucleoeléctrica Argentina, Playas Ferroviarias de Buenos Aires, Constituciónntes Technological Pole, National University Radio del Litoral, RTA, Radio and Television Service of the University of Córdoba, Talleres Navales Dársena Norte, Development of Railway Human Capital, Belgrano Cargas y Logística, Administration of Railway Infrastructures, Railway Operator, New Generation Space Vehicle, Fiscal Coal Deposits, Deposits Dionisio Water Miners (YMAD) and YPF.
