The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) created, through General Resolution 2,570 he “Registration System” and ordered the implementation of the “Special Customs Records”made up of the foreign trade operators and, within that framework, this Friday implements the “Importer/Exporter Profile” and the “Customs Broker/Declarant Profile” for the purposes of managing the destinations of the merchandise and other customs operations.

This is how he arranged it through the Resolution 5472/2023, published this Friday in the Official Gazette, which is dictated within the framework of the provisions of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency 70/2023 issued by the Government and which will come into force as of this weekend, the AFIP promoted a reform of the Customs Code that eliminates the records of customs brokers and importers and exporters, “with a view to streamlining trade.”


The objective of these measures, according to the foundations of the standard, is “the immediate elimination of state barriers and restrictions that prevent its normal developmentwhile promoting greater insertion in world trade, among others.
Details of the new regulations for imports and exports
In this framework, it is established that “declarant” will be understood as the importer/exporter or authorized human or legal person by this, which must be registered in the “Customs Broker/Declarant Profile”. And, on the other hand, the “Special Customs Registries” are created, which will be composed of Customs Transport Agents, general representatives and dependents, among others.
The “Importer/Exporter Profile” and/or the “Customs Broker/Declarant Profile” to those subjects who are registered in the Registry of Importer/Exporter and/or Customs Broker, as applicable, on the date of entry into force of this rule.
