“In recent years, the BNA did not prioritize its objective of channeling the deposits and transforming them into loans in favor of SMEs and Argentine families“, considered the new president of the organization in statements broadcast by the institution’s press on social networks. “The economic reorganization of Argentina will generate a substantial change in the banking business“he added.
In this context, he listed a series of deficiencies that he analyzed in his first weeks in office: “The Financing in favor of companies and families was reduced only 21.20% of total assets; “restricted lending and amassed a high level of liquidity. The LELIQS, public securities and cash represent 88.03% of deposits”; “deficiencies are evident in the practices of credit. The Bank registers very negative default indicators. Loans in an irregular situation are 7.40% of the total and in loans to companies the irregularity is worse: it reaches 11.70% of the total.
Finally, Daniel Tillard interpreted that “Transformation into a Public Limited Company is central to growthachieve efficiency and improve transparency in the management of the BNA.
