Prepaid medicine: the fee for a plan triples that of January 2023
After the release of the prices for prepaid medicine established by the president Javier Milei in the DNU 70/2023companies implemented increases of 40% in January and brought the adult plan fee to an average of $87,000, triple the value it had a year ago.
The prepaid will accumulate an average increase of 76% in two months.
Claudio Belocopitt evaluated that the increase in prepaid
The president of Swiss Medical GroupClaudio Belocopitt, evaluated that the increase in service value of prepaid medicine will be between 25 and 30% in February. “The level of delay is very large. Measured without the current inflation, the level of delay as of December was in the order of 80%,” he assured Rivadavia radio.
The january increases announced by companies in the sector were 44% in the case of Medicus, 40.8% for Omint and 40% for Swiss Medical. Belocopitt estimated that, given the inflationary scenario, there will be a similar increase for February.
“There is no estimate because the numbers would be absolutely gigantic again and the reality is that we have to take this little by little (…). It would be logical to think that the increases will be between 25% and 30% to, at least, not aggravate the situation,” he said.
