On the other hand, it is added that it was established that the meat quotas would be distributed in equal parts, with each Mercosur State corresponding to the TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT (25%) of the total tonnage agreed for each year. The eauthorized exports in character of quota advances in accordance with the 2024 business cycle are included in the final adjudication of this measure.
Argentina opens beef tariff quota for the United States
Through the Resolution 477/2023 The annual tariff quota was opened boneless beef, fresh, chilled or frozen destined for the USA for the 2024 business cycle.
The quota is 20,000 tons and will be awarded through an award process in which companies that own meat processing establishments authorized to export to the north and joint projects made up of groups of producers and/or associations of bovine breeders and companies with meat processing plants will participate.
The registration period for the 2024 cycle It will be 15 calendar days and will begin from the entry into force of this resolution, that is, from this Wednesday, December 6. Those interested must complete a form through the Remote Processing (TAD) and present the required documentation.
Likewise, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries authorized the Undersecretariat of Agroindustrial Markets to grant advances since the beginning of the business cycle and until the issuance of the final award act only for those companies and joint projects that have passed the documentary control.
